Yay! My computer finally works. It is glorious. And I have to say Thank you, to Mr. Bill Gates or to whomever invented the internet, because everything that was ever on my computer has been lost.... Except things I had on the internet. So, thank you.
First and foremost, I'm on the FutureCity Team to those who weren't aware. So if you were thinking of being my friend, but don't like nerds.... then I'm so very sorry, but I wouldn't be able to give you a hug anyway, so I guess it's your loss. Anywhoo... today were the tryouts for presentation team.. and.. and.. um... uh.. I.... uh... (what's the word).. made... um.. it!!!! YAYAY! HOORAY... so that is the first whoop of the day.
On to bigger and brighter things....
It's a Wonderful Life is going swell-ly for most. I, however, have had a bit of difficulty with the character. The way the script is written, Clarence is more of a narrator then a character, so it's difficult to bring that naive, little old man that everyone loves from the movie... when the dude is constantly telling George that he's got loads of problems, then saying that he lived his life eloquently. Hmm.... so I'm still in the process. If you have any ideas for Clarence, tell me.
In other news.... (kind of)
So here's the latest "Paree". She's in "It's a Wonderful Life" as well.- not the one I'm in- but I see an advertisement of it in the music room and it intrigues me, so I take a closer look, and it says "Starring Ms. Paree as Mary Bailey and her FIONCEE so- and- so as george Bailey." How shocked am I to see that; for more than one reason! One... she's in "It's a Wonderful Life" at a different theatre- the same couple weekends that I am... which means if I am to advertise it, then I would be rubbing my face in front of hers- which is something you just don't do. Second... she's getting married? Really? hmm... I would say more- but I have absolutely no more words on the subject.
Gagaga... It's been a while, so I need another paragraph
Sometimes I find it necessary to explain my music choice. And I would have done this a week or two ago, but my computer was down, so here I go. A couple weeks ago, WNIC started playing Christmas music and I was overjoyed! What better to start the holiday season with than Christmas music? Well. food actually can be pretty good, but anyway.... As I sit in the car belting along with the radio as Clay Aiken sings The First Noel, I ponder my ignorance to Hanukkah and Kwanzaa music. I ask my mother, who is also in the car, and she offers "Dreidel, Dreidel" in which she only knows the first two words (which are the same). She knows none else. I make myself angry because I, being a co- founder of IWTBJBIN (I Want To Be Jewish But I'm Not), know NO HANUKKAH songs. So I am in the process of researching it, but in the meantime, if you have any Hanukkah or Kwanzaa songs, please PLEASE INFORM ME!!!! Until then, my song is Dreidel, Dreidel.
